End-User License Agreement (EULA)


This SuperOffice Developer Network End-User License Agreement (EULA) must be accepted before access to DevNet can be granted, and you as a user can be granted the necessary licenses to use information (articles, documentation, software and so on) found on the site.

 

1. SuperOffice Developer Network (DevNet)

1.1 General information

This agreement is a personal subscription to SuperOffice DevNet made available to you as part of a member organisation. Your membership runs for the duration of the company membership, but can be terminated earlier by you, your organisation or SuperOffice DevNet.

Should this EULA be updated, all registered users will have to re-confirm their acceptance of this agreement. SuperOffice DevNet reserves the right to make such changes at any time.

1.2 About SuperOffice DevNet

SuperOffice DevNet is a resource centre intended to support developers and other technical personnel as partners and customers building and delivering custom projects and modules based on the SuperOffice Expander platform.

In addition to this website and online forums, a membership will also provide invitations to training, member meetings, and direct access to DevNet personnel for involvement in both technical and marketing activities.

1.3 Information made available on SuperOffice DevNet

Through a SuperOffice DevNet membership you will be granted access to various information for your personal use. This includes information such as news and articles, documentation, tools and example code, presentations and documents, downloadable software, online forum and so on. In this EULA this is all included in the common term "Information".

The information made available is intended to support you as a partner or a customer in your work to deliver projects or modules based on the SuperOffice Expander platform. All use of the information for any other purpose is not allowed, and under no circumstance must the information be used to harm SuperOffice interests.

Part of this information is available on the DevNet website through anonymous access. This information is by it's nature public information, and can be freely used and shared.

However, for all information that is restricted to members with a valid login, the general rule is that the license to use this information is personal unless explicitly stated otherwise, and the information may not be shared with others or in any other way made public.

 

2. License to Information

A general personal license to use the information made available on DevNet is granted to each member, with extensions and restrictions as further described for each major category of information:

2.1 Articles, Documents, Example Code, Tools and other General Information

The know-how provided through articles, example code and such is made available on an unsupported "as-is" basis. This knowledge can be used and modified to support the users own requirements. DevNet does not guarantee the suitability or the operation over time, and can not be held responsible for it's use in any way.

Copyright and ownership to the original information belongs to SuperOffice DevNet unless specifically stated. For material that is owned by a Third Party, use of this information must include reference to the owner and/or author(s).

2.2 SuperOffice Products, Software Development Kits, and Official Documentation

Through DevNet the member has access to all official SuperOffice Expander products with documentation. Use of these products and documentation is granted on a personal basis, and must not be used for direct commercial activity other than training, development, demonstrations or testing.

All official SuperOffice products have their own licence agreement that must be accepted by the user. Official SuperOffice products are supported through International Support provided by SuperOffice ASA, and not through SuperOffice DevNet.

DevNet provides access to order development and demonstration licences of such products.

This software and documentation is made available to support the intentions behind SuperOffice DevNet as a support to partners and customers delivering projects and modules. Access to this in-depth knowledge of the products must not in any way used against the interests of SuperOffice by reverse engineering, writing malicious code, negative public statements regarding functionality or quality, or similar activities.

2.3 Third-Party information

Third Party organisations (SuperOffice Partners or Customers) can make available information about their modules or solutions Such information, and other information easily identifiable as belonging to such an organisation, is the ownership of the individual organisation and it's author(s). A separate licence and/or guideline for use might accompany such information, and compliance might be enforced based on this EULA for SuperOffice DevNet.

 

3. Personal Information and Behaviour

3.1 User and Member Organisation

Access to SuperOffice DevNet - both online and offline resources - is granted to you as an individual and as an employee in an organisation that has a DevNet membership. Your organisation may at it's own discretion enable or disable access to DevNet for its employees. Both individual and organisation may be held accountable for any breaches made under the terms of this EULA.

For access to certain DevNet information, community services, direct access to DevNet personnel and similar, SuperOffice DevNet reserves the right to restrict access to this content or these services based on both personal and organisational profile. This includes (but not restricted to) profile information such as; individual certifications, partner status, customer status, and country organisation is located in.

3.2 Personal Information

Each user will have a personal profile, both as an individual and as an employee of a member organisation. The user grants SuperOffice and SuperOffice DevNet the rights to use this information to support the activities on the SuperOffice website, and any other personal or community based activity intended as a positive contribution in line with the intentions of DevNet and the SuperOffice companies.

However, under no circumstance will SuperOffice DevNet give or sell this information to any organisation outside SuperOffice, or use this information for any other purpose than supporting DevNet members in their work.

3.3 Forums

DevNet access includes access to the online forums, with user rights for both starting and participating in discussions. All postings will be made with name and information from personal profile. It is the responsibility of each user to ensure that its postings have a content that is in line with normal net-iquete for such forums, and does not contain abusive messages, information that is copyrighted by others without rights to use, or information that in any other way can be seen to offend others. 

SuperOffice DevNet reserves the rights to edit or delete any postings at its own discretion.

3.4 Ownership to information

Any information a user or its organisation publishes on the website or posts on the online forums, becomes the ownership of SuperOffice and SuperOffice DevNet unless specified otherwise. Such information can be made freely available to others, and freely used by others at their own discretion. This also includes "offline" information, resources and know-how given to DevNet personnel through direct or indirect contact.

 


All users of SuperOffice Developer Network (DevNet) must accept the End-User License Agreement (EULA). All use of DevNet is personal.

The EULA describes:

  • General information about the program
  • The use of the DevNet website and content made available in password-protected pages.
  • License to use example code and unsupported tools made available.
  • License information for the use of official SuperOffice products.
  • The rights to use information made available from Third-Party organisations, mainly partners.
  • Use and regulations for posting to the forum, and ownership of information.

This version of the EULA was published on 1. October, 2004.

SuperOffice DevNet reserves the right to update the agreement, and will ask all users to reconfirm acceptance before providing access to password protected content.
