Validity
The certification status is valid in future releases of SuperOffice products unless stated otherwise. A recertification is required when the SuperOffice ISV product is released in a new version.
Standard Software
Standard Software is in this context defined as a packed software product developed and meant for distribution to several customers. Standard software is not a single customer-solution accompanied by a brochure or product sheet. Developing standard software requires a design and architecture as well as a functional specification that takes into account that the software is targeting a bigger audience.
Standard software products are more adaptive, flexible, and scalable than custom solutions. Hence, you can deliver/sell the same product to far more customers. Only standard software will be considered certifiable by this SuperOffice certification program. Most of the certification guidelines are, however, also applicable for custom made solutions as they are related to developing nicely integrated software solutions.

The SuperOffice ISV Product Certification process step-by-step
- Download all resources from the download page.
- Describe your product in the SuperOffice ISV Product description form. Use the technical requirements to ensure that your product meets the requirements of the SuperOffice ISV Product Certification program. Use the best practice section on the technical requirements page as a guide to how you can make your product meet the requirements.
- Submit the SuperOffice ISV Product description form together with all attachments.
- The SuperOffice ISV Product Certification consultant will review the SuperOffice ISV Product description and ensure that all necessary information is available. If necessary, the consultant will recommend changes to the product to meet the technical requirements.
- When the SuperOffice ISV Product is ready for the certification test, you must set up a certification test environment with the SuperOffice demo database, the certification test tools, and your SuperOffice ISV product.
- During the certification test, the SuperOffice ISV Product Certification consultant will log into your certification test environment using LogMeIn (or similar). Once logged in, the test tools will be started. These tools will log all activities in the SuperOffice products during the certification test. All test cases from the add-on description form are completed. At last, all log files from the test tools are returned to the SuperOffice ISV Product Certification consultant.
- After the test, you will receive a SuperOffice Certification test report. You may have to make adjustments to the product after the test in order to receive certification.
- A certification approval confirmation will be sent when your product is certified. Also, your product is automatically included in the SuperOffice Certified ISV Product Directory.
